ABSTRACT: The impact of early childhood education on academic achievement is essential for understanding how early educational experiences influence children's learning outcomes and future academic success. This study examines how early childhood education programs affect academic achievement in young children. The objectives are to (1) assess improvements in children's academic performance, (2) evaluate the integration of academic-focused activities in early childhood education curricula, and (3) examine changes in children's learning attitudes and behaviors. A survey design is employed to gather comprehensive data on the impact of early childhood education on academic achievement. A purposive sample of 140 children  from preschools in Abia State was used. The case study focuses on a preschool known for its strong emphasis on academic achievement. Findings revealed significant improvements in children's academic performance, the effectiveness of academic-focused activities, and positive changes in children's learning attitudes and behaviors. Recommendations included integrating academic-focused activities into early childhood curricula and providing ongoing professional development for educators to enhance children's academic achievement.
